The thing is that your institution may not have given you admission or as the case may be is still in progress but you may have been admitted in the JAMB website just that it has not reflected in your school website. Your school may also have given you admission but has not yet sent your details to Jamb. You therefore need to be checking your admission status in JAMB's Central Admission Processing System(CAPS). It's unfortunate that you have an android phone yet every now and again you are running to the cyber cafe to check your jamb or post utme result, check admission status etc whereas with your android phone having an internet connection you can by your self do virtually everything you pay to be done for you in the cyber cafe.
This post describes a simple step by step procedures with pictures on how you can check your admission status in Jamb CAPS all by your self.
Important notice!
The recomended browser for this is CHROME or alternatively use FIREFOX browser, other browsers may not give you the needed results.
STEP 1
Visit Jamb website using the link https://www.jamb.org.ng
STEP 2
Click on create account or login.
STEP 3
Enter the email address you used during Jamb registration and your Jamb Profile log in password not your email password
You are likely to get an error telling your invalid email or password
Don't worry all you need to do is to simply reset your password. Just click on "forgot password", your will be required to enter the email address you used for jamb registration and your date of birth of course it must be the same with what you have in your Jamb slip. Then click on "get password reset link"
Jamb will send a password
reset link to your email. Check your email and open the message. Click on the password reset link and it will take you to the page where you will be required to enter your new desired password twice and then click on "reset" and that is all. Then proceed to the Jamb website to log in to your profile with your new password
STEP 4
Now that you have successfully logged in to your Jamb profile account you have to select your exam year. Click on "ADMISSION/DE ADMISSION STATUS ON JAMB CAPS". You are likely to see only WELCOME on the next page, don't worry, just click on the three dots at the top right corner of your browser
and then click on "desktop site"
after this you can see a left side bar with options.
STEP 5
Click on "admission status" in the left side bar
STEP 6
You will see that your Jamb reg no is already there while all other Jamb details will be empty. Just click on the "search" button on the right of where you see your Jamb reg no
THAT'S ALL!!!
All your other details will appear with your admission status at the bottom.
STEP 7
If your have been offered admission CAREFULLY click on "accept admission"
Then proceed to print your admission letter.
